Well it never ceases to amaze me just how much talent that there is in the writing world. Inevitably people always want to know what an Author is reading, so I thought it only fair that I share what inhabits my ‘Book Nook.’
First and foremost: you need to understand that when it comes to reading; I never read one book at a time, I always operate in the plural sense when it comes to literature. I also have to admit that I am not just a ‘one genre’ type gal.
I do have a weakness for thrillers though and many times that can mean that stalkers, serial killers, kidnappers, and murderers are sure to inhabit my world. Whether it’s through the tool of pen, paper, or my imagination; they are certain to accompany me in my daily life.
So at this date and time, these are the characters that presently inhabit my Kindle, and my nightstand, better known as my ‘Book Nook.’
1. The Red Dragon-Hannibal Lecter: By Thomas Harris.
I can’t say enough about this character, but I think we all can agree that ‘sinister’ is the first word that comes to mind, when dealing with Hannibal Lecter.
2. The Cuckoo’s Calling- by Robert Galbraith or J.K. Rowling as we all know her;)
I see a pattern here. I love a mystery and or, a thriller.
3. The Harbinger Mysteries-Hard Boiled Mysteries not for the faint of heart by Carolyn McCray. It started with the Prequel and now I am working on: ‘Plain Jane brunettes beware.’
4. And last, but by no means least: ‘Messages’ by John Michael Hileman.
So there it is: the inhabitants of my personal ‘Book Nook.’
Happy reading, writing, and reviewing, my dear blogging friends.

Thank you for the list! I love the Hannibal series, especially Hannibal Rising, as I’m fascinated by how people become who they are. I do find that I have to take a break and read something utterly silly or funny after a crime thriller, though, as I tend to become paranoid and distraut!
I have to chuckle, because I often find myself checking to be certain that the doors are locked; more than once…
